Kings XI ready for Sunrisers’ challenge
Summary

Team eager to get back to winning ways, says captain David Miller

The Kings XI Punjab have played four matches so far and have won just one out of them. That convincing win came at home in Mohali against the Rising Pune Supergiants. After that they had to face a defeat against the Kolkata Knight Riders and would be hoping to get back to winning ways against Sunrisers Hyderabad next. David Miller was positive about his team’s chances against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and believed they were just one win away from changing the course of their fortunes in the tournament. “The mood in the camp is really good. We are keeping it positive at all times,” Miller said. “We have had a day off and it is good to be in Hyderabad - nice and hot. The boys are ready. We haven’t had the greatest of starts but I was just chatting to the boys that we are just one win away. If we win tomorrow, we then move up to mid-table. “The table is pretty tight at the moment. We need a good win tomorrow and that will change a lot of things. We have to stay positive and everyone is ready for a battle. We just have to stay mentally strong and make sure that we do our basics right. We need to stick to what we know best. Me, personally too have to keep it simple.” Miller also looked to take the losses in the right stride. Despite a loss against Kolkata Knight Riders in the previous game, Miller felt Shaun Marsh finding form and his bowlers putting up a better bowling display were some positives to take forward into Saturday’s game. “It is good to see Shaun Marsh back among the runs. He has been a very successful run scorer for us in the past. It is always good to have confidence with him. In the previous game, I thought that we didn’t start too well with the ball, but finished well. We pulled it back really nicely, got a few wickets and that is always positive. We need to work on starting really well be it with the bat or ball and make the first punch.”
