The KKR all-rounder reflects on his record-equalling fifty and his partnership with Chris Lynn
On a day when thick black clouds loomed over the Chinnaswamy Stadium posing a threat to the game, it was a flurry of sixes by the KKR openers that caused damage to the home team, thereby handing RCB a defeat in their last home game of VIVO IPL 2017. The KKR opener – Chris Lynn who missed a few games owing to a shoulder injury, picked up his game from where he had left and took on the RCB bowlers at will. But, what Chris Lynn witnessed from the non-striker’s end was a treat to the eyes. It was Sunil Narine’s show as he annihilated the opposition bowlers, hitting them for long sixes, and reached his half century in just 15 balls – the joint fastest in the history of the Indian Premier League. While Narine finished as the Player of the Tournament in the 2012 edition of the league with 24 wickets, the 2017 edition of the league is all set to mark the discovery of Narine as the explosive opener. We at iplt20.com caught up for a small chat with the all-rounder and found out more about his knock, his partnership with Lynn and what he feels about the bowlers he is taking on as a batsman.
