Preview : M13 - SRH vs DD
Summary

SRH look for points at home, DD look to build momentum

What Match 13 of Pepsi IPL will see Sunrisers Hyderabad pitted against the Delhi Daredevils. SRH so far have one win from three outings; in their most-recent outing, they lost to the Rajasthan Royals at home. On that occasion, SRH’s batsmen found it difficult to conquer the conditions they encountered and struggled to build any kind of momentum. One expects that the team would have discussed the need to be show more intent and be more aggressive. In their previous outing, the Delhi Daredevils pulled the brakes on their 11-match losing streak; they restricted a powerful Kings XI Punjab lineup to 165 and then riding on the back of half-centuries by Mayank Agarwal and Yuvraj Singh, knocked off the runs. That certainly would have certainly brought the smiles back in the dressing room, and with the monkey off the back, the team will be keen to make winning a habit and start piling on the points. When 18 April 2015, 4p.m. IST Where ACA-VDCA Stadium, Visakhapatnam The Protagonists It is beyond doubt that David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan are the two most influential batsmen in the SRH ranks. Both batsmen are explosive and can win matches single-handedly. Dhawan has shown the intent to apply himself and bat through the majority of the innings; he did that against RCB recently, and if he can do that again, SRH will certainly be in a position of strength. The two left-handers in the Delhi Daredevils lineup will be at the centre of the team’s batting plans. Skipper JP Duminy has done the right thing by promoting himself to number three; this not only gives him the chance to get his eye in, but also gives him the opportunity to bat through the majority of the innings. Yuvraj Singh showed against Kings XI Punjab that he has a lot to offer and can win matches for his team. He comes into this contest at the back of a half-century and will be keen to carry that form forward. Coaches advocate that taking wickets is the best way to keep a check on the scoring rate, and DD have two wicket-takers in their lineup in Imran Tahir and Amit Mishra. Contests to look-forward to The two Kumar’s in the SRH ranks – Bhuvneshwar and Praveen – are wily operators and have had plenty of success against left-hand batsmen. Their battles against the two left-handers in the DD middle-order - JP Duminy and Yuvraj Singh - promises to make for interesting viewing. The other battle that promises to be entertaining is between the two leg-spinners in the DD lineup – Amit Mishra and Imran Tahir – pitted against Shikhar Dhawan and David Warner.
