Starc to miss start of IPL with knee injury
Summary

Australian pacer is expected to recover in two-three weeks

Royal Challengers Bangalore will start Pepsi IPL 2015 without their star fast bowler Mitchell Starc, who is nursing a knee injury post his Man of the Tournament winning performance in the 2015 ICC World Cup. Starc picked 22 wickets in the World Cup at an average of 10.18 and played a significant role in winning Australia their fifth world title. The left-arm pacer is currently down with a niggle in his left knee and will be assessed by the Cricket Australia medical staff after a short period of recovery. "Mitchell had some knee soreness during the latter stages of the World Cup," Australian physio, Alex Kountouris was quoted as saying on Cricket Australia’s official website. "He will have a short period off to rest and recover, before being reassessed by CA medical staff. We estimate his recovery time will be between two-three weeks." The 24-year-old Aussies speedster will join RCB in the middle of the IPL depending on his recovery and rehabilitation.
